BACKGROUND
SGCT has a strong background from the Agro- processing industry in Europe. Our people have a wide experience as a technology supplier and we are responsible for the installation and operation of processing lines on worldwide projects, mainly in food and starch processing. In our activities described below, we are technology driven along with strong partners to be at the forefront of state-of-the-art technology which includes new developments and applications. We utilize the most efficient processes with regards to product yields from the raw material, energy, and water consumption (Technologies).
From our background, we developed as well into trading of European products into the Asian market and subsequently set up a separate basis in Hong Kong.
BUSINESS
Based on our background, SGCT is a developer (Project Development) and investor (Financing/Investing) for projects in the field of food and starch processing from Agro- products. The products produced range from various starches to food products like dairy, meat, and vegetables (Fields&Markets).
From our product trading activities into Asia and Europe, the project feasibility and financing is supported by buy- back arrangements already in place at the point of project establishment.
Since about 4 years SGCT takes an even broader role as an investor for selected projects areas. This ensures a pay-back of the financed loan by a seamless responsibility from project development, implementation of the technology, the operation of the factory and marketing of the product. As a result, SGCT has a strong standing in negotiations with investors and financial institutions.
Our regions of activity are focusing on developing and emerging countries in Africa, Asia and South America.
